The Story Behind the Returnship
Wayfair, a leading U.S.-based e-commerce organisation specialising in home goods,
furniture, and décor, has carefully tailored this Returnship Programme for women resuming their careers after a break.
Returning to work can feel daunting, especially when self-doubt creeps in or you
are unsure how your time away will be perceived. This programme acknowledges that.
It recognises everything you bring back with you: resilience, renewed perspective,
sharper time management, and the ability to juggle priorities like never before. These are strengths shaped by real life.
This six-month returnship offers paid learning, one-on-one mentorship, and the opportunity to work on real engineering challenges - not filler projects, but meaningful contributions from day one. You will receive fair compensation,
structured upskilling, and the support needed to rebuild confidence in an environment that respects your journey.

What Happens After the Returnship?
Once the programme ends, eligible trainees may be offered full-time roles within their teams. If there are no open roles available immediately,
Wayfair will support returnees in applying across other teams, with a streamlined process similar to internal transfers.
